📅 Booking & Scheduling
How do I book a walk or visit? All of our services are booked online through our secure booking application, Time To Pet. New clients will need to complete our New Client Form and our Client Waiver and Release of Liability, and book a free Meet & Greet consultation prior to booking their first service with us, which can be booked through the Client Portal.
How much notice do you need for bookings? At minimum, we need 48-hours' notice for bookings for new clients, and 24-hours' notice for existing clients. New clients will require a free Meet & Greet consultation prior to booking their first service with us, which can be booked through the Client Portal.
Do you offer recurring or weekly scheduling? We'd love you see your pets every week! You can add multiple services to a single day (for example, adding an extra dog to your private walk), or book several different service days by adding them to your shopping cart. We make it easy to ensure you have care coverage when you need it!
🐕 Dog Walking Specific
How long are your dog walks? Private dog walks are either 30 minutes or 45 minutes in length in a loop around your neighbourhood.
Do you walk dogs in groups or individually? Currently we only offer private walks. We can take up to three dogs from the same household for an additional cost per dog - added through through the Client Portal.
What happens if there’s bad weather? If the temperature is -20°C or colder, or if there is a blizzard or a downpour of rain occurring, scheduled walks will be cancelled for the safety of your dog(s). We will instead visit your dog(s) at home to provide an outdoor bathroom break and playtime to replace the walk. During the warm summer months, fresh water will be provided for your dog(s) during the walk, to prevent dehydration.
Can you walk my dog off-leash? During private walks, we only walk dogs on-leash to ensure your pet's safety and security. Dogs are hooked to my walking harness (a rock climbing harness with carabiners) so that my hands are free to guide the leashes and pick up droppings.
🐈 Pet Sitting Specific
What does a pet sitting visit include? Pet sitting is 30 minutes in duration and includes two pets, dogs and cats only. Additional one or two pets from the same household over that would be an additional fee, which can be purchased through the Client Portal.
-
Dogs will be monitored in the yard while they have a bathroom break, some playtime and cuddles.
-
Cats must remain indoors for their service, and will receive lots of cuddles and playtime. I will also clean their litterbox if you wish.
I can refresh water dishes and provide a scheduled meal if you wish.
Can you administer medication or handle special care needs? I can administer veterinarian prescribed oral medication for no additional cost. We can discuss any special care needs of your pet during the free Meet & Greet consultation - I am confident that I can attend to your pet in a way that makes them feel comfortable and loved.
Do you stay overnight in my home? I am not able to stay overnight in your home, but I can complete two or three sitting services per day depending on your needs.
How do you handle keys or home access? During the free Meet & Greet consultation, I will need to acquire your access code for your numerical door lock or key lockbox. If you just have keys but no lockbox, I am happy to recommend where you can purchase one.
💬 Communication & Updates
Will I get updates or photos during the visit? As soon as your dog walk or pet sitting is complete, I will send you a message through the Time To Pet app, which includes multiple images (and even short videos!) of your pets and details of the session, plus any fun notes or new achievements. You will also receive an emailed copy.
How do I know my pet is in good hands? I care for and deeply respect your pets, and I know that routine, consistency and patience are needed to help them feel safe and loved. I am happy to provide this comfort, and can adjust my interactions whether you have a shy kitten who wants to hide, a senior lap cat who only wants gentle head scratches, a dog who is learning how to fetch (but not quite there with the return part), or a leash tugger who wants to sniff everything on the route. This quality time is important, and I honestly treat each client's pet as if they were my own.
I will disclose any concerning behaviours, potential illness or incidents in the Time To Pet follow-up report, plus I can call you directly to discuss further, at your convenience. I acquire your vet's contact information, plus an emergency contact in the New Client Form that each new client completes, so I am prepared to act in case of any emergency, especially if I am not able to reach you.
I also have valid certification in First Aid for Dogs and Cats through the Canadian Red Cross.

📌 Policies
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy? As a secure site member, you will be able to cancel or reschedule your service(s) as long as it's outside of the minimum 24-hours' notice required. If it's less than 24-hours, and you cancel, there will be a charge of 30% of the service(s) total applied to your payment card provided at the time of purchase.
If I am unable to access your home, (e.g., due to a change in access code) and you haven't notified me of this change, the full charge of the service(s) will be applied to your payment card provided at the time of purchase.
Sometimes unexpected things can arise, and I understand this. In case of an emergency, where you are unable to communicate the cancellation or reschedule outside of the 24-hour notice period, please reach out to me at your earliest convenience at 403-499-9663 and we can resolve the payment manually.
What happens in case of an emergency? All new clients complete the New Client Form prior to the free Meet & Greet consultation, which contains your vet's contact information, plus your personal emergency contact that I can connect with if I am unable to reach you during an emergency with your pet. You can feel secure that your pet's safety is my top priority with any service, however I am prepared to act quickly in the event of an unseen emergency.
I am fully insured with Zensurance, a Canadian company, in the unlikely event of an emergency. While in my care, your pets have coverage inside your home, in my vehicle or outside during pack or private walks, or pack adventures.
I also have valid certification in First Aid for Dogs and Cats through the Canadian Red Cross.
